Vaccine Injury of Raleigh Deel

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

Completely healthy, no health issues. I was actively improving my health, strength, and cardio. Very focused on healthy eating.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

April 1, 2021- Recieved the Johnson and Johnson vaccine at UNC Chapel Hill, where I was enrolled as a student.

Summer 2021- I slowly lose weight, start to look sickly, and begin to frequently feel thirsty and urinate. By August, I had lost roughly 25 pounds and had dark circles around my eyes and felt extremely exhausted almost all of the time. On August 5 I went to my primary care doctor, who checked my blood sugar, which was 472. I was sent to the hospital and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I spent 2 nights in the hospital. I have been treating my t1d with insulting injections before meals and before bed. I feel healthy now, I have maintained a healthy weight with muscle. It has been a major lifestyle adjustment.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Mealtime and nighttime insulin
