Vaccine Injury of Kenneth Elliott

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was in the best shape of my life. 24 years old, 5’11 and 180 lbs. I had just lost over 140 lbs to be able to join the military which I had trained very hard for. I had no previous medical conditions and I was very healthy.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

I got the J&J vaccine in mid October 2021 right before I left for Bootcamp for the Navy. I was doing great and everything was fine and one day during a run with my friend I had a cardiac arrest and was dead for 23 minutes. This was 4 months after my vaccine. By the grace of God, my shipmate knew cpr and was able to keep me “alive” till the ambulance arrived. I stayed in the hospital for a week then was discharged and was told it was a “freak accident”. For about 8 months things started to get better but then in December of 2022, while at lunch for my friends birthday my body locked up and my heart rate shot through the roof. I was diagnosed with Afib and Aflutter. I had an ablation which helped a little but I still have daily brain fog and will still sometimes have afib events. I am on beta blockers, blood thinners and blood pressure meds and I just want to be normal again like the rest of us. Just the other week (Sep 29, 2023) a VA doctor told me I had Myocarditis and that’s why cause me to have a cardiac arrest. This was the first time I had heard this and it has almost been 2 years since my accident. While relieved, I feel betrayed by my government and the country I swore to defend and protect. But this was definitely good and useful news that brought some light to a dark situation.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

While the meds and surgery helped, I found that staying hydrated, eating well, getting daily exercise even if it’s just walking, and not smoking and limit drinking have helped the most.

Which solutions were not helpful?

So far I haven't had any unhelpful solutions but quitting vaping was the thing that helped me the most.

What would you like others to know?

While I’m still struggling every day with symptoms, I do believe I’m getting better. Every day is a fight and some days I just want to quit and say what does it matter anymore but God and my friend gave me a second chance and I don’t want to blow that. There are many of us out here working together to stay informed and one day we will have a solution to help us but we must stay positive and do everything we can to stay healthy. You’re worth it. NEVER GIVE UP!
