What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was very fit & healthy. I have 3 children & run my own childminding business so always active everyday. I also enjoyed exercising & would do dvds at home & classes on an evening. I did have Asthma but it was very mild & controlled.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

Within 8hrs of the vaccine my body had a terrible reaction starting with feeling like I was on fire outside but freezing & shaking inside. I couldn’t move as everything hurt & I was shaking so much. My husband helped me to take 2 paracetamol & covered me in lots of covers as I felt so cold in my bones. It felt like it was going up my body in sections. From that moment my life changed. For months after I was suffering with awful pain & fatigue over my whole body. My eyes, throat, stomach, ears hurt & everything tasted foul. I had some chicken pox type blisters come up on my thighs. I could hardly walk upstairs or string much of a sentence together as it hurt to think. My body temperature was all over the place & heart palps were on & off. Tinnitus & stomach/ bowel issues.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

None. I lived on paracetamol & water. Every time I spoke to a dr they said to ‘give it another week!’ They didn’t offer me any help or solution apart from I was advised never to have another jab. I could only take paracetamol as I don’t have aspirin products because I have asthma. I was so unwell I wasn’t able to even think of something else to take as I felt I just had to keep resting & try & get through it.

Which solutions were not helpful?

N/a

What would you like others to know?

It depends who the others are. If it’s the government I want them to know I’m disgusted with the lack of common decent healthcare. I did as I was asked & took the vaccine to ‘protect’ everyone & when this happened it was like I was invisible. I wasn’t ! I was a 39 yr old woman/ mother/ wife/ business owner/ fit&healthy & never had time to be poorly. Most of that is still true apart from the fit, healthy & not having time to be poorly. If it’s to the nhs then I’m also disgusted if you are involved in denying that there’s a problem but to those of you that are helping then I Thankyou & hope more open their eyes soon. If it’s to the general public , well I’m not one for telling people what to do but my very strong advice would be to never have or never have another Covid jab as if you are 1 of the unlucky ones then you’re tossed aside like you done exist…. And believe me it’s not nice. I never ever thought I would ever go through anything like this, the thought that someone wouldn’t get any help if they were ill would’ve been totally inconceivable. But now it’s actually happened to me I feel great sadness , not just for me but for those just like me. There are some a lot worse off so I feel lucky that I’m where I am but equally feel dreadful that my life has changed like it has.
