What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

Before the vaccine I was only dealing with my typical arthritis (knees/lumbar), degenerative dics, and sciatica from military service. Aside from a potassium and vitamin D deficiency, my annual VA blood draws were normal. I worked a normal full time job, married, kids, etc. Nothing to chaotic.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

The first 2 months after my injection I had joint pain so bad I was getting about 4 hours of sleep per night, then came rounds of fatigue I couldn't shake and my cognitive function declining. I was prepping for a bodybuilding competition so this really effected me mentally and physically. Over time more symptoms developed, but I thought they were side effects from either not getting enough sleep, nutrition issues, or medication/supplements. About two months ago I learned I have rheumatoid arthritis, sjrogens syndrome and my testosterone levels dropped.

My dad recently developed RA too after his vaccine. Shortly after his vaccine he ended up having that same shoulder replaced because his arthritis was so bad. Now I'm legally entitled to FMLA (due to "lifelong illnesses" and my husband is trying to find a job that covers both of our incomes because I never know when a flareup will happen or how long I'll be out. Sometimes I have to go to my moms to nap before I can even drive home from work.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

I'm still bodybuilding and sometimes all I can do is walk on the treadmill. They are still working on finding a treatment that works for me and lowered my dose of hydroxychloroquine. Still researching how I can make my situation better. Barely started testosterone cream.

Which solutions were not helpful?

Mobic, anti-inflammatory.

What would you like others to know?

Go get an ANA test done. See if this vaccine has trigger an autoimmune response. Three things can trigger autoimmune; stress, diet, and illness. This vaccine is introducing an illness and there are articles where it has been linked to on-set RA.
