Michelle K. // Moderna

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I had some physical limitations associated with degenerative discs. I am a service-connected disabled for PTSD and in ongoing mental health treatment. I had occasional bouts of fatigue and joint pain from fibromyalgia. This was temporary and I was able to maintain some activity. I was able to travel and perform daily tasks with little issues.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

Describe your symptoms and the timeline of your reaction

In July of 2021 I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis. This limits the foods I can eat and how much. I have daily pain throughout my digestive system and constant nausea. I also experience bouts of gastritis and diverticulitis.

September 2021 I was diagnosed with F2/F3 liver fibrosis. Recently my liver panel has shown increased damage. I do not drink alcohol and follow a careful diet.

October 2021 I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I am having trouble finding the right combination of medications to control my blood sugars despite a careful diet.

January 2022 I started having problems with extremely low blood pressure and passing out. In June I was diagnosed with neurocardio syncope and hypotension. I am mostly bedridden from fatigue. The smallest task causes extreme body pain and fatigue. I do not travel outside my community because of fear of fainting while driving. Therefore do not have contact with family and friends out of town. I live pretty isolated. I am in college and fatigue and brain fog are a continuing issue. I was an honor student and recently failed several classes because I could not focus or stay awake. That is all I can remember at this time.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

I get my Healthcare through Veterans Administration. I am basically being prescribed medications to treat symptoms as they arise. For the most part, I have been told that there is nothing that can be done for most of my issues. I am only able to monitor my blood sugar, blood pressure, and diet.

Which solutions were not helpful?

Metformin caused a reaction that prevents its use for my diabetes. I have been told no solutions are available.

What would you like others to know?

This is real. All diagnostic tests support my health situation. If there is not a causation between the vaccine and my issues, there is definitely a correlation. I served my country for 8 years. I did not want this vaccine because there is not enough research on these genetically modified vaccines. I was pressured by the VA, family, and the government requirements for traveling. As a result, I feel like my government has sentenced me to death and doesn't even care. Not enough information is being given to doctors about the real after effects of COVID vaccines so that people like me can be helped.
