Vaccine Injury of Lisa Stephens

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was in a remission type state with my Psoriatic Arthritis. My meds were working great, swelling was controlled, and my pain was a 2 or less. After the first vaccine I was in bed for days, missing work. I needed medical attention due to that and had to be put on steroids right away due to the response.
After that, things deteriorated rapidly. It is now 11/06/2023 and I am now no longer responding to my treatments, and have had to leave my amazing career as I have lost a large amount of function in my right hand and fingers. I had many events where I nearly stuck myself with a needle drawing patients because my hand is so weak. The pain in my si joints is extreme as well as my foot, toes, ankle and Achilles. My ring size on my right hand went from an 8 to an 11 due to the dactylitis of the fingers. My fingers are starting to drift and I have deformity of my knuckles now.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

First vaccine, Moderna. Sanford Health mandated it and because I am immunocompromised, I took the vaccine because I have never had reactions before. Immediate response within 2 hours following, could barely drive the 50iles home, and was bedridden for days following, missing work and also needed medical attention and steroids to help it. After that, everything deteriorated. We have tried many medications to control my PsA, and nothing is touching it. I am now on high dose steroids permanently. I have splinter hemorrhages of my finger nails due to the steroids. I have migraines and projectile vomiting. I cannot grip properly and cannot safely lift things with that hand.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Nothing has presented as a possible solution. I am not responding to Amy medications even steroids now.

What would you like others to know?

If you have an autoimmune disease, tread lightly, and be aware of any autoimmune symptoms following the vaccines. Just be careful, and know your body. Advocate!
