What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was very active and into a health and fitness. We backpacked in the Smoky Mountains and bikepacked the Great Allegheny Pathway.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

On 12/23/20, I got my Moderna vaccine. I worked in a hospital, and I was scared of taking covid to my family. Plus, I knew they would require it eventually. I’ve always had issues with my mandatory flu vaccine, causing pain and fibromyalgia, but nothing like this. I immediately had a metal taste in my mouth. Then, I had big spikes in my heart rate and rapid heart rate for 2 days. On the third day, I was jogging on the treadmill, and my feet started to go numb. I called my husband, because it was so odd. Over the next few weeks I would go numb from my feet to my head. I tried to work and was falling over at work. I was told to go to the ER, but I knew covid was really bad in the ER, so I didn’t want to go. I could barely walk, my legs were so heavy. I couldn’t hold up a coffee cup, and I even ended up wearing a neck brace, because I couldn’t hold up my head. I had zaps in my head that woke me up multiple times during the night with flashes of light. It took a while to get in to see a neurologist. By then I could walk, but it was still difficult. My neurologist was amazing. She had suspected transverse myelitis, but there were no lesions on my MRI. After the numbness faded, I had severe nerve pain, deep into my bones. It was unbearable. I had tremors and what felt like a big rubber band around my right thigh above my knee. I was diagnosed with extensive damage to my small fibers, small fiber neuropathy. Later I would be tested for POTS and dysautonomia but was diagnosed with paroxysmal tachycardia and orthostatic hypertension. I have chest pain still and can no longer live an active lifestyle. I also have some cancer markers, high kappa lambda ratio, high kappa in my blood and urine and large amounts of protein in my urine. I’m being monitored by a hematologist oncologist for that.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Low dose Naltrexone has been a miracle for my severe nerve pain.

Which solutions were not helpful?

I wish Diet was helpful as it’s helped me with many other things in life. I do think fasting helps some but symptoms always return.

What would you like others to know?

There are no solutions and no one is going to pay your bills or help you when you are injured. Vaccine companies have zero liability.
